As a fan of the original Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, this was a fun and challenging project because Bel-Air had not premiered yet, so we had to use production stills and behind the scenes footage.

While exciting, it led to having to work with limited image options because the show was still in production and we had to go through legal for permission for images. Likewise, we had to work with what we could alongside the client product shots and Shutterstock images. The last challenge was that we had to work within the Bel-Air branding which was still in the process of being defined outside of early released teaser images.

XFINITY and Target wanted Will (Jabari Banks) to be wearing a Bel-Air jersey, which we didn’t have images of. We had images from the first episode with him playing for his team in West Philadelphia and a few glimpses from the teaser trailer of what the Bel-Air academy jersey looked like.

I photoshopped over the previously red and white jerseys, added the Bel-Air Academy and jersey numbers in a collegiate font and it was approved. Clients didn’t even notice it was photoshopped. This was a successful ad campaign for Peacock and their partners.

I have a hard drive with multiple gigs of Jeff Goldblum as Brad Bellflower, inventor of the Apartminternet. My creative director and I took ownership of the Apartments.com ads and they were a super fun client to work with. A lot of our weirder or bigger ideas often got approved. These ads were super fun to make.
